Mrs. Patti's 6th Grade Science Class

Welcome To The Exciting World Of Middle School Science!

Welcome to the exciting world of Middle School Science! Topics being covered throughout 6th, 7th and 8th grade involve Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. During the 6th grade, a main focus will be to build upon the scientific method through inquiry based experiments and activities. Students will be introduced to problem solving through scientific questioning and developing lab report techniques. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in peer to peer discussions,  and have fun while learning! By the end of the 6th grade, students will have a strong base of science concepts when moving forward to the 7th and 8th grades. Once students reach the 8th grade they will have a state assessment that encompasses science topics they learned throughout their time in middle school.

Meet Nugget! Our famous class pet. He's grown a lot since first coming to KECSS back in 2011.

Nugget is a type of lizard called a Vittikins Dragon. These look just like Bearded Dragons but are a bit smaller in size.

His birthday is September 26th and he loves to snack on crickets!
